In July and August 2022 I did basically nothing. Just a few sketches which I did not even feel taking pictures of. I was in Monti the whole time, it was record hot in July and I had a family of three Ukrainians refugees and their big dog as guests and I guess that not only did not allow enough space in the house to paint, as I usually paint in the kitchen when I am there, but after a work day (I worked remote the whole time) I was too drained emotionally to find inspiration. Besides, I worked almost three hours every day in the fields to release the stress and stay out of the house, where there was always someone in the kitchen and where their daughter was working sometimes until 7 PM in the entrance/living room, working remote as I did. Living with traumatized strangers who do not speak your language is very stressful. And I was lucky, because they were good people.
